The Town of Foster, RI is conducting a Statistical Revaluation for 2023.  In accordance with RI General Laws 44-5-11.5 and 44-5-11.6, a revaluation is required every three years.  The purpose of the revaluation is to reconcile property assessments to their full and fair cash value as of December 31, 2023.

The Town of Foster, RI has hired Vision Government Solutions to conduct the revaluation.  All Vision employees will carry photo identification, as well as a letter from the Tax Assessor stating the nature of their work.  Their cars are registered with the Foster Police Department.

The Vision Government Solutions employees are currently reviewing and inspecting all properties that have sold within the past three years (January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2023).  Photos of the properties will also be taken.  Vision Government Solutions employees will be stopping by these properties UNANNOUNCED and do NOT make appointments.

In February and March you may see the Vision employees driving around town doing a field review of all properties in Town.  Photos of properties could also be taken at this time.  This will also be unannounced and no appointments will be scheduled.

In April, new assessments will be mailed to property owners.  At that time, Vision Government Solutions will conduct informal appeal hearings with property owners to discuss assessments.
