The new Winsor Road Bridge is now open!
Foster residents cutting the ribbom for the Winsor Bridge reopening on November 8, 2014.

On Saturday, November 8, 2014, the new Winsor Road Bridge was opened to traffic immediately following a 3:00 pm ribbon cutting ceremony.  Many local residents were present for the ceremony along with Council President John Lewis, Council Members Roger Hawes, and Denise DiFranco, and Public Works Director Joe Cardillo.  Peter Donatelli, President of New England Building and Bridge Company of Greenville, RI, the contractor which built the new bridge, was on hand to tell residents about the bridge prior to the opening.  The new bridge is constructed of galvanized steel, has a weight capacity of 20 tons, and a minimum lifespan of 50 years.  After a few remarks, Lewis invited the residents of Windsor Road and Hopkins Mills (another area serviced by the bridge) to cut the ribbon and formally open the bridge.  Construction of the new bridge was completed in just 59 days.
