"The Lost Villages of Scituate" by Ray Wolfe

Join us on Tuesday, March 9 at 6:30pm  with  author, Ray Wolfe as he discusses the research involved in his book, The Lost Villages of Scituate,  This book chronicles the history and impact of the Reservoir construction on the many villages in Scituate. There will be  book signing and copies will be available for purchase.
Historic Barns of RI Pilot Survey Meeting
Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Chopmist Hill Center, Rt. 102, North Scituate, RI
The Scituate Conservation Commission invites Foster residents to their 8th Annual Meeting featuring Conservation--the year in review; the 2010 Alice M. Howland Conservation Award, and "Historic Barns of Rhode Island: Statewide Framework and Foster, Glocester, and Scituate Pilot Survey" spotlighting the importance of documenting the structures related to farming in order to preserve the towns' agricultural roots. Program is free, but please RSVP to Ruth Strach at 934-2277 for planning purposes.
