The newly-formed Friends Group will be holding a meeting to plan their first fundraiser: a book sale and rare-and-unique vegetable plant sale. Karen Mueller of Nordland Heritage Farm on South Killingly Road has offered to do a program on her #1 picks for vegetable seeds: why they are a good choice for this area, propagation, harvesting, and their uses in cooking. Karen is a Master Gardener and grows unique varieties of vegetables on her farm. It should be an interesting and informative meeting. New friends are always welcome.
